Before
- Remove unwanted hair from your body. Waxing or shaving 8 to 24 hours before a spray tan is important as the skin must be smooth for the absorption of tanning solution.
- Exfoliate using a body scrub, mitt or dry body brush- we LOVE to use ALL THREE when we exfoliate for silky smooth skin!
- Avoid using body washes that are extra moisturising and opt for a gel-based body wash or bar soap.
- Wear loose, dark clothes to your appointment, and open toed shoes or flip-flops to avoid rubbing the tan off before it develops and staining your clothes.
- If you have an appointment for a manicure or pedicure, do it before your spray tanning session.
- No deodorant, lotions, perfumes or makeup during or right after your appointment.
- Will I turn orange? You won’t, the solutions we use do not contain any ingredient that can turn orange.
- Is it bad for my skin? Not all, the solution we use contains nourishing ingredients like Aloe to hydrate the skin. The tanning agent DHA in the solution is derived from sugar cane and 100% natural.
After
- When showering after the development time, shower in warm water and use a light body wash or soap.
- Avoid chlorine swimming pools that react with the tanning solution and cause an uneven fade.
- Moisturising the skin daily will help make the tan last longer, and allow the tan fade evenly.
- Use gradual tanning moisturising products to prolong your tan and keep skin hydrate.
- Do not use lotions or creams on your skin that contain Alpha Hydroxyl Acids (AHA’s) or Glycolic Acid as they exfoliate the skin.
